No one makes hardwood garden planters quite like Oxford Planters. Each one is handmade to order by our skilled joiners, combining the principles of fine cabinet making and architectural joinery with timeless design and exceptional craftsmanship.
Our planters are more than beautifully made. We carefully engineer every commission to accommodate natural timber movement, soil pressure and root growth, allowing each planter to remain structurally sound long after many alternatives require replacement. Every detail is considered, ensuring each piece performs as beautifully as it looks.
We carefully select FSC-certified oak and iroko for their natural beauty, character and durability. Left untreated, these timbers will gradually develop an elegant silver patina, allowing them to settle naturally into their surroundings. Alternatively, we create our planters in Accoya®, an exceptionally stable and durable timber, professionally spray coated in your exact choice of colour.
Every Oxford Planters commission is entirely bespoke. We tailor every planter to its setting, considering scale, proportion and planting requirements to create a piece that feels entirely at home within its landscape.
