The St Hugh’s™ is one of Oxford Planters’ more distinctive designs, combining strong architectural proportions with decorative geometric detailing inspired by the Arts & Crafts tradition.
Originally commissioned by St Hugh’s College, Oxford, the planter has a structured, almost architectural character. The repeated horizontal and vertical timber detailing creates depth across each panel while retaining the balance and restraint that defines the Oxford Planters collection.
Each St Hugh’s™ is individually handmade to order in our Cotswolds workshop and can be commissioned in dimensions and finishes appropriate to its setting.
Distinctive Architectural Detailing
The character of the St Hugh’s™ comes from its carefully constructed panel work.
Substantial corner posts frame a series of horizontal and vertical timber elements, creating a strong geometric pattern around the planter.
