Garden Doors & Gates

Every gate and garden door begins with its setting. From our Cotswolds workshop, we design and make each commission individually, considering proportion, scale, architecture and the way the gate or door will be used.

Our joiners work in FSC-certified Oak, Iroko and Accoya™, using traditional cabinet-making and architectural joinery appropriate to substantial exterior work. Each piece is made using time-honoured joints, with sections, proportions and detailing considered specifically for the commission.

From entrance and driveway gates to garden doors and side gates, dimensions and detailing are developed for the property rather than adapted from a standard design. Hardwood timber may be left to weather naturally or, where appropriate, Accoya™ may be spray finished in virtually any colour.

We work directly with homeowners and alongside architects, garden designers and landscape professionals, from entirely individual designs to historically informed pieces for significant properties and landscapes.

Each commission is considered from the first drawings through to final fitting, with the same cabinet-making discipline and architectural joinery that runs throughout our work.
