Our Cotswolds Joinery Workshop
At the heart of Oxford Planters is our own Cotswolds workshop, where our joiners and cabinet makers make every commission individually to order.
From bespoke wooden planters and garden furniture to gates, outdoor kitchens and architectural joinery, each piece is considered specifically for its intended setting, from proportion and material to detailing and structural requirements.
Traditional Joinery. Considered Engineering.
Our approach combines traditional cabinet making and architectural joinery with specialist knowledge of exterior timber. We work principally with Oak, Iroko and A1 Grade Accoya™, selected according to the requirements of each commission.
Traditional joinery and considered engineering inform every piece. As dimensions, use and anticipated loads change, so do its structural requirements.
Individually Made to Order
We do not hold finished pieces in stock. Our joiners work from Oxford Planters designs, individual briefs, architectural drawings and professional specifications, from a single bespoke planter to substantial collections and entirely individual commissions.
UK commissions are delivered personally wherever practical, allowing our involvement to continue from the workshop through to the final setting.

Materials Chosen for Longevity
Sustainability begins with materials chosen to endure. We select FSC-certified Oak and Iroko and have worked with Accoya™ for exterior furniture since 2007, recognising early its exceptional stability, durability and suitability for outdoor joinery.
Our approach is centred on longevity: selecting the appropriate timber for each commission and creating pieces intended to remain in use for many years.
