Building on the bold presence of the original Wadham, the Classic introduces a softer character through its hand-made decorative straps, adding refinement to an otherwise powerful form.
Designed for specimen trees and larger planting schemes, its generous proportions create a confident presence within formal gardens, terraces and landscaped settings. Every element is considered, balancing structural integrity with the craftsmanship expected from a piece of fine architectural joinery.
Each Wadham Classic™ is handmade to order in our Cotswolds workshop by our architectural joiners. The fixed straps are individually crafted and shaped by hand, providing both strength and a distinctive decorative detail. We carefully select oak, iroko and Accoya® for their character, stability and ability to endure. Oak and iroko naturally weather over time, while Accoya® provides an exceptionally stable foundation for a professionally applied finish in your chosen colour.
The Wadham Classic™ combines robust construction with practical planting considerations. Four removable panels provide direct access to the root system when required, while a concealed slatted base allows irrigation to be integrated discreetly beneath the planter.
