Its generous scale and robust detailing give the Wadham a confident character within the landscape. The substantial 90 x 90mm legs create a sense of permanence, while carefully considered proportions allow the planter to sit comfortably within both formal and contemporary settings.
Each Wadham™ is handmade to order in our Cotswolds workshop by our architectural joiners. We select oak, iroko and Accoya® for their character, stability and ability to endure, refining every element through traditional joinery techniques. Oak and iroko naturally weather over time, developing a refined silver patina, while Accoya® provides an exceptionally stable foundation for a professionally applied finish in your chosen colour.
The Wadham is designed with long-term planting in mind. Four removable panels provide direct access to the root system and soil without disturbing established planting, while a concealed slatted base allows irrigation to be integrated discreetly beneath the planter.
