A Neoclassical-Inspired Garden Planter
The Iris™ is an architectural wooden planter inspired by the symmetry, proportion and restrained decorative detailing associated with neoclassical design.
Its defining feature is the traditional raised-and-field panel, framed within clean square proportions to create a planter with a strong relationship to architectural joinery.
Rather than reproducing a historic design, the Iris reinterprets this familiar classical detailing in a contemporary form. The result is a refined panelled garden planter that sits naturally alongside both period and modern architecture.
Each Iris is individually handmade to order in our Cotswolds workshop, with careful attention given to proportion, joinery and finish.
Architectural Panelled Detailing
The recessed panel detailing gives the Iris its distinctive character.
Balanced symmetry and carefully proportioned framing provide visual depth without excessive ornament, allowing the planter to complement doors, windows, columns and other architectural features.
