The Exeter™
The Exeter™ is an exercise in quiet proportion. Clean lines, generous 70 x 70mm legs and carefully balanced dimensions give it a confident architectural presence without overwhelming its surroundings.
Designed for medium-sized trees, sculptural shrubs and considered planting schemes, the Exeter works particularly well on terraces, in courtyards and within formal gardens. Its restrained form allows the planting and architecture around it to remain part of the composition.
Each Exeter is handmade to order in our Cotswolds workshop by our architectural joiners. We select oak, iroko and Accoya® for their character, stability and ability to endure outdoors, refining each piece through traditional joinery techniques and careful attention to proportion.
Oak and iroko will weather naturally, developing a refined silver patina that allows the planter to settle comfortably into both classical and contemporary landscapes. Alternatively, Accoya® provides an exceptionally stable foundation for a professionally applied finish in your chosen colour.
The Exeter is a study in balance: visually refined, yet substantial in construction. It is made for those who recognise that the most successful pieces often achieve their presence through restraint rather than ornament.
