At Oxford Planters, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We proudly use only FSC® and PEFC™ certified timbers and intentionally reject mass production in favour of handcrafted, bespoke, made-to-order pieces. Each product is commissioned to your exact specifications, meaning there is no stock, no waste, and no compromise on quality.
Designed to Last
We craft each piece from scratch using traditional joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon, dovetail and haunched joints – methods that have stood the test of time. By combining the finest materials with these time-honoured joinery skills, we ensure your furniture is both structurally sound and visually refined. Every item is made in our UK workshop as a lasting addition to your space.
Sustainable from Workshop to Delivery
Our commitment continues beyond the workshop. We personally deliver UK orders using our own vehicles, consolidating trips whenever possible to reduce emissions. Each order is wrapped with care in reusable, recycled blankets, completely avoiding disposable packaging. For international deliveries, we use recycled pallets where permitted, biodegradable bubble wrap, and other reusable materials.
A Zero Waste Ethos
Nothing goes to waste. We repurpose every timber off cut. Larger pieces are passed to local woodturners to create beautiful items, while smaller pieces are used to heat our workshop via a wood burner. Additionally, we transform selected off cuts into reusable plant labels featuring QR codes that link directly to our digital catalogue, which has helped us reduce our printed materials by over 80%.
